As implementers of the most important climate protection project, we are pleased to share the news that COP27, the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, has started in Egypt! The conference will bring together representatives of the world’s countries (political and technical negotiators) to discuss how to put into practice the commitments set out in the 2015 Paris Agreement to slow global warming.
The Ministry of Technology and Industry, which is also coordinating the implementation of the LIFE-IP North-HU-Trans project, has a key role to play in this discussion. Our consortium leader, Daniella Deli, Deputy State Secretary for Climate Policy, will also take part in the delegation’s 2-week-long work.
In a joint appeal by the Hungarian Association of Nature Conservationists – Friends of the Earth Hungary and the Hungarian Climate Protection Association, more than 2000 students from 70 schools (from kindergarten to university age) across Hungary sent postcards to the Hungarian delegation, telling them what kind of planet they would like to live on.
During COP27, the postcards will be on display at the Marczibányi Square House of Culture in Budapest.
