The MINED ERASMUS+ project is one of the first spin-off projects of the LIFE project, whose main objective is to develop a non-formal educational toolkit to help primary school students to increase their knowledge in the field of sustainability.
The project is coordinated by the Eszterházy Károly Catholic University and involves primary schools and educational organisations from 4 countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Romania). In the selection of the consortium, it was important that the partner primary schools were all located in the coal region.
During the workshop, the partner countries’ education systems for primary schools were presented in order to identify the optimal design of the toolkit. An important aim of the work is to develop a toolkit that can be adapted not only to the systems of the 5 countries, but also to those of other countries. The content of the toolkit will also reflect the key concepts of a green and just transition. As a next step in the implementation of the project, an attitude survey will be completed in the three partner primary schools in order to assess the attitudes of pupils towards climate awareness. The development of a toolkit will then start, with Eszterházy Károly Catholic University and the Eszterházy Károly Catholic University Practical Primary School as key actors.
The workshop was organised in the framework of the MIND ERASMUS+ project.
